Yesterday I went shopping with Tiffany.
Sometimes it amazes me that we've known one another since fourth grade and we've been good friends since sixth grade. She is the only friend who can truly say that she has watched me change in voluminous ways.
We nearly got smashed between two giant semi trucks, barreling down the outside lane of the freeway while we were trying to get on. We laughed as we remembered her learning to merge with traffic (she was so afraid) and tried to remember who else was in the car (was it Jory? Kenzie? maybe it was Alex), who yelled and screeched and bellowed at her not to dare to put her foot on that brake, just merge, merge, merge!
I talked her into buying a shirt, even though we should be saving our money.
She ate my cookies from Subway, because she wanted them and I really didn't. Then she tried to share them with me, and we laughed over it, because I had paid for them anyway.
And we talked about her trip to China, and the trips that we could take if we only saved up enough money, if I only had a job. We talked about Alex (such relief) and Kenzie (not so much) and Jory (going to Sundance without us, how dare he).
I have a best friend, and I love, love, love her to death.
